Our People

Our 200-person team includes physicians and other medical professionals, as well as data scientists and technologists. Leading the charge are Jim Davis, a 25 year veteran of the life insurance industry, and Doug Kemp, one of the original product innovators behind the Bloomberg terminal. Together, they’re committed to helping usher the promise of APS digital data to the life insurance industry.

Doug Kemp, SVP Product Innovation – After 18 years of innovating financial and legal information products at Bloomberg LP (where he was one of Mike Bloomberg’s early hires), Doug seized the opportunity to join the Synodex team to bring digital data solutions to the insurance industry. “What we’re doing with medical information is in essence harnessing the technologies and approaches used for highly-valued financial information – to enable new ways of operating, new ways of exchanging information among companies, and possibly even new product innovations.”
